Kevin Killen and I were guests on Gene Shay's Sunday Night radio show on WXPN last night! It was great!

Gene's the founder of the annual Philadelphia Folk Festival and its emcee since its inception, he has been called the "The dean of American folk DJs" by The Philadelphia Daily News and "The Grandfather of Philadelphia Folk Music" by The Philadelphia Inquirer. It was truly an honor to be on his program!

The band was just featured live on the FOX 45 morning show in Baltimore. It was surreal... We played the segment right after their interview with Montel Williams! (I was going to ask him to play some cowbell with us, but I chickened out... He was all business that day!)

This past weekend at the North Star, the DQB was selected to advance to the second round of the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands and now gets to take the stage at the legendary TLA on December 11th!

The top ten bands from all over the country will compete in a televised competition with the winning band taking home a $1,000,000 recording contract!

Tickets for the TLA show are $10 ($15 at the door) and can be bought in advance by emailing tix@dirkquinn.com

I'm going to use it to advertise upcoming events involving the entire band and to upload the latest tracks from live shows and rehearsals.

Everyone in the band has the password and can add to the page as they see fit. I'm hoping for it to be a collective effort where both the members of the band and the fans can come for the latest news and show updates - a homebase for the DQB!
